Festival favourites Sheelanagig will be entertaining the crowds in Shrewsbury's Square this weekend - fresh from playing at Glastonbury.

The band will be playing in the Square tomorrow from about 10.30am to 1pm, subject to the weather.

The show will come after the band's appearance at the Workhouse Festival in Llanfyllin, tonight.

Sheelanagig will also be paying a visit to the Shrewsbury Folk Festival this year, which will be packing in the crowds over the August Bank Holiday weekend with a programme of music, dance, workshops, and fun at the town's West Midlands Showground from August 22 to 25.

The riverside location is set to attract more than 5,000 visitors.

Sheelanagig have been honing their eclectic blend of folk, jazz and world music since early 2005.

They have become festival favourites across the UK and into Europe.
