Famed for his baritone delivery of songs dealing with the complexities of love, sex, death and religion, Cohen arrives at the NEC Arena, on Saturday November 22.

The 73-year-old's recent performance at Glastonbury drew rave reviews, with The Independent saying: "Anyone who was standing at the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury as the sun set on Sunday evening would agree that Leonard Cohen stole the show.

"To hear him sing is still an experience to truly make young women and romantics shiver and sweat."

Albums like Songs Of Leonard Cohen (1967), Songs Of Love And Hate (1970) and I'm Your Man (1990), right up to 1992's The Future and 2004's Dear Heather are considered visionary classics by many.

Cohen's songs have been widely covered, from Judy Collins' Suzanne and Jennifer Warnes' Famous Blue Raincoat to Jeff Buckley's seminal rendition of Hallelujah.

REM, U2, Sting, Nick Cave, Rufus Wainwright and the late Johnny Cash are among other famous devotees.
