The Pepper Pots live on stage in OswestryThousands of music fans converged on Oswestry's Cae Glas Park for the town's Music Live annual extravaganza.

About 10,000 people attended the popular event to see a range of bands performing throughout the afternoon and into the evening culminating in a grand firework display.

Organisers say they are delighted with its success this year, which went without a hitch.

Phil Beaumont, of the Forge Studios, who helps runs the event with Oswestry Town Council, said: "It was great. The whole day was faultless and there was a lovely atmosphere.

"Everybody had a great time and we had some great bands - everything went without a hitch.

"There was no trouble at all and everybody seemed to have a fantastic time."

He estimated between 8,000 and 10,000 people passed through the gates to Cae Glas Park and the weather held out throughout the day.

"Several people said to me it was the best they had been to so far," he said.

Among those performing were The Kayas, The Pepperpots, the Patrick Eggle Band, Mark Morgan and Lisa Mills from America.

Mr Beaumont said: "We had some really, really good bands."
