If you can get to the Birmingham area this afternoon (Oct 24) you'll find the Dell and MTV Cab holding auditions for the Dell Red Carpet Reporter at PC World, Gallagher Retail Park, Axletree Way, Wednesbury, until 5pm.

Fitted with the latest HD recording equipment, the cab is touring the UK looking for shining stars to demonstrate individual presenting styles.

One lucky winner will be chosen for the chance to ask some of the biggest names in music like Beyoncé, P!nk, Duffy, The Killers and Kid Rock, some of their burning questions at the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards, held at the Echo Arena, Liverpool, on Thursday, November 6.

The talent with the best one-minute audition video, as judged by MTV Networks International (MTVNI) and Dell, will be an official reporter on the red carpet, complete with their own film crew.

If you can't make it to the Dell Cab, you can still submit your audition online at dell.co.uk/mtv

In addition to becoming an instant star on MTV, the winner will also receive an exclusive VIP package:

  • Luxury four-star accommodation in Liverpool

  • Press conference attendance

  • Full backstage pass

  • Dancing at the official after party with MTV stars

  • Energy: keep it up, no second chances

  • Be creative: capture the moment and let your personality shine

  • Have fun: express your life and soul - cut loose

  • Express yourself: show who you are, not who you want to be for the judges
