The Brit award-winner's 11-date tour follows a sell out for the shows he's due to do next month, which don't include any Midlands dates.

Meanwhile Morrison plans to release the second single Broken Strings, a duet with Canadian superstar songstress Nelly Furtado, taken from his new album Songs For You, Truths For Me.

The album debuted at number three when it was released a month ago and has sold over 200,000 in just a few weeks. His first single from the new album, You Make It Real, is still in the UK Singles charts top twenty.

Morrison's debut album, Undiscovered, went straight in at Number 1 in the UK album chart in July 2006 and went on to sell over two million copies worldwide, making it one the biggest debut albums of that year.

Quite a feat for a then unknown 21-year-old singer-songwriter from Derby. He's since toured with Corinne Bailey-Rae and John Mayer, played alongside his hero Cat Stevens, performed at the concert for Diana, had a Top 30 album in the US and won a Brit Award for best Male in 2007 where he was nominated for three gongs.

Morrison's voice has been described and praised in many different ways, by many different people, but the description that really resonates is the late Atlantic Records legend Jerry Wexler's: "Above all his is a voice with its own thumbprint. Hear it once and you'll forever recognise it."
