The Human League, Belinda Carlisle, and Bananarama will perform at Shrewsbury Quarry on July 11.

Last year the concerts drew more than 10,000 people into the town, and organisers IML Concerts expect this year's event to be just as popular.

Event manager Chris Bailey said: "We are thrilled to be returning to The Quarry with this hit show and following on from the huge success of last summer we are very confident that the show will sell out quickly. The concert will be picnic-style so we encourage everyone to bring their own food and drink."

Other acts lined up to appear on stage include Go West and Shropshire's own T'Pau.

Gates will open at 6pm with the show starting at 7.30pm and ending with a firework finale.

Tickets are on sale from IML Concerts on (01603) 660444 or online at www.imlconcerts.co.uk

Advance tickets cost £32.50 with a discount for children aged five to 15 of £20. Under fives are free with no ticket required.
