Seal bringing Soul to the NIA

Award-winning singer and songwriter Seal is to kick off his summer UK tour with a concert at the NIA in Birmingham.

The tour kicks off at The NIA on Monday June 22, 2009, and will support the release of Seal's chart-topping new album, Soul, which has sold more than two million albums worldwide since its release in November.

Soul is the best-selling artist's sixth studio album.

It comprises twelve soul classics that each evokes their own drama, emotion and romance, including A Change Is Gonna Come, I've Been Loving You Too Long and People Get Ready.

Producer David Foster has said "this is the album Seal was born to sing".

Seal first emerged from Britain's house music scene in the early 90s providing vocals and lyrics for techno artist Adamski's 1990 hit Killer.

The Top Ten debut single, Crazy, followed. Seal went on to earn critical acclaim and worldwide commercial success over five albums.

Seal's soaring, husky baritone that has become a signature on such hits as Prayer for the Dying, Kiss From a Rose, and Don't Cry.
