The long-awaited return of Norwegian duo Röyksopp, aka Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland, is heralded with the single Happy Up Here.

Berge said the new single, released on March 16, was "our little attempt to be part of ending the global depression?".

"It has a certain happy, uplifting 'YEAH WOW' factor like the first 8 bars of Van Halen's Jump but with less hair and spandex."

Happy Up Here is coming with a whole heap of fabulous remixes from the likes of Boys Noize, Breakbot, Holy Fuck and Datassette.

Royksopp's new album Junior is released on April 1 through Wall Of Sound.

It follows their massive million selling debut Melody AM released 2001, the acclaimed 2005 The Understanding and their hit singles Eple, Poor Leno, Only This Moment and Remind Me, which won Best Video at the MTV Europe Awards.

In December last year Röyksopp made an exclusive new track Happy Birthday available for free Mp3 download from their official website www.royksopp.com to celebrate their birthday.

It was instantly picked up and passed around by a host of bloggers and Zane Lowe gave the track its first radio spin as his Hottest Record in the World Right Now.
