Stars line up for acoustic festival

A stately home on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border is hosting a four-day acoustic music festival over the Late Spring Bank Holiday weekend featuring a host of star names.

The Acoustic Festival of Britain will be held at Catton Hall Park from Friday May 22 to Monday May 25, 2009.

Featured performers include former Supertramp singer Roger Hodson, Deacon Blue, Miles Hunt & Erica Nockalls' The Wonder Stuff, Bob Catley and Vinny Burns, The Christians, The Animals, The Blow Monkeys and comedy star Adrian Edmondson with his band The Bad Shepherds.

Earlybird tickets which cover all four days and include four nights free camping and parking are £80 each plus booking fee.

They are available online from the festival office at www.acousticfestival.co.uk/Tickets until the end of March. From April, limited day tickets will be available.

Tickets for children under 10 are free and for those aged 10-15 are £30.

More than 50 performers have been announced so far, with more to be added. Other names on the bill include Imedla May, Mungo Jerry, Chris Difford of Squeeze, Ed Tudor Pole, Magna Carta and Martyn Jospeph.
