Second date for Marti Pellow

Pop star Marti Pellow today announced an extra date in Tenbury Wells after fans snapped up tickets for a concert in June.

Pellow, who enjoyed ch- art success with Wet Wet Wet before embarking on a solo career, will appear at the Regal Theatre on June 26. An extra date has been added for June 27.

His concert is part of a series at the venue in June that also includes performances by Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee, Tony Christie, Ruby Turner and The Mart Rodger Manchester Jazz Band.

Today producer and agent Chris Davis, who manages the acts and has an office in Tenbury Wells, said he was delighted that the first Marti Pellow show had sold out.

He said: "We've decided to book an extra date due to phenomenal demand for tickets."

Marti Pellow has been the lead singer of Wet Wet Wet since they formed in 1982.

He has also appeared in musicals in the West End and Broadway.
