After spending the best part of two years perfecting their art and playing countless gigs around the Shropshire area, Decadence in Berlin decided to record their first demo, and in March 2009 they recorded 3 tracks with Ben Millington of NewBreed fame at the Smash Rooms, Ketley.

The band delight themselves in being hard to pigeon-hole in one genre or another, but some of their aural touchstones would be eighties post-punk outfits such as New Order and Gang of Four, whilst contemporaries have described them as "Sonic Youth meets the Arctic Monkeys".

Highlights of the bands career so far include gigs in Aberystwyth, the Little Civic and Varsity venues in Wolverhampton, The Flapper in Birmingham (where they supported a band with a naughty name), The Shed in Leicester, and The Public in West Bromwich.
