David Peacock, will not perform along with pal Chas Hodges during the event at Ludlow Assembly Rooms on Friday night, following the death of his wife last weekend. And a letter from Chas, which has been sent to the Assembly Rooms to pin up on the day of the performance, said: "Unfortunately owing to the recent bereavement of his wife, Dave will not be appearing tonight (Friday). But with his support, I shall be taking over the show.

"The first half will be my tribute to Jerry Lee Lewis with whom I used to work. The second half will contain all the Chas and Dave hits and more.

"Here's to my friend being back on stage with me in the near future. In the meantime, come in and enjoy a show. Chas."

On Friday, Chas will also demonstrate the duo's new musical form, Rockney which mixes pub sing-along, boogie woogie piano and pre-Beatles rock and roll.
