DJ's delight for Shropshire band

A Shropshire band has been wowing millions of radio listeners after one of the nation's favourite DJs selected its debut single to play every night of the week.

The Vanguards, who are based in Market Drayton, hvae released a debut single called Regress, which was recorded at Abbey Road studios, in London.

The single, which was released on the band's own record label, has been picked up by DJ Mark Radcliffe, on his BBC Radio 2 programme Radcliffe and Maconie show, as Pick Of The Week. It has been played every night since Monday.

Abbey Road studios were made famous by The Beatles, who recorded there and also featured an image of themselves walking across a zebra crossing on the sleeve of their Abbey Road album.
