You Me At Six brought their hard-hitting, take-no-prisoners, faster-than-an-F1-car rock to a sell-out crowd of raucious teenagers.
The Surrey-based British rock group have steadily rose to fame over the past few years and threatened to break into the mainstream with their latest album, Hold Me Down.
The cd, which entered the UK chart at number 5 in January, offered a fresh approach to the rock scene with plentiful and fast-paced lyrics and guitar riffs.
Live, You Me At Six are awesome and, when they visited the West Midlands, they blew the doors from their hinges as they opened with Safer To Hate Her, setting 3,000 revellers off like a spark to firecrackers.
Playing through The Consequence and Trophy Eyes with blistering guitar work and the tuneful larynx of frontman Josh Franceschi, they slowed things down temporarily with the sing-a-long fan favourite and anthemic If I Were In Your Shoes.
The encore, Save It For The Bedroom, and their biggest hit to date, Underdog, ensured the gig closed with a pogo-bouncing mass of fans throwing their last gust of energy back at the stage.
Not many bands can create such a frenzied response from their fans, but You Me At Six were certainly worth the ticket price and given a bit more time, might soon be playing to much bigger crowds.
