Best known for their chart-topping hit Place Your Hands, rock band Reef have returned to the stage for a long-awaited tour.

The four-piece band have been gigging around the country since April after having an eight-year break and chose to play at the Wulfrun for their penultimate 2010 concert.

The Wolverhampton venue was packed on Friday (december 3) with fans looking forward to a night of tunes penned by the band - and they were not disappointed.

And as soon as they walked onto the Wulfrun stage they were warmly received by the audience who cheered and called their name.

The musicians kicked-off the night as they meant to go on with loud rocking tunes that saw fans jumping up and down with their arms in the air.

Classic tunes such as Come Back Brighter, I Would Have Left You, Yer Old and Good Feeling had the audience singing along at the top of their voices.

Each song on the set list was met with cheers as the band re-ceated their sound perfectly, giving the impression that they had never been away. The guitar work was skilful and every note and lyric seemed to be hit with precision.

Stringer's voice and accent still held the instantly recognisable Reef sound and the band still seemed to be enjoying every moment of the gig.

Seeing Reef at the Wulfrun was a great treat and allowed hard-core fans with fond memories to reminisce - as well as giving a chance for new fans to introduce themselves to the music.

It was a top night at a great venue and the band have left the audience wanting more.
