After nearly six years in hiding, Tom Vek stumbled upon the West Midlands for an intimate return to form at the sold out, but laid back HMV Library.

Famed for his rapid rise to fame with the stunning debut album, We Have Sound, Vek has received great acclaim and his appearance was eagerly-anticipated.

In recent times, he has become a regular on major American TV shows and fans at the HMV Library were thrilled to see him up close and personal.

Playing a short but utterly sweet set, Vek delivered predominantly older material, with I Ain't Saying My Goodbyes and C-C (You Set the Fire In Me) gaining the best applause from the rapturous Midlands revellers.

New track Seizemic went down well before ending with A Chore and the exurberant electro-rocked vibe of A.P.O.L.O.G.Y that spelled out the true nature of what Vek does best.

It was impressive stuff - almost certainly worth the wait.
