Irish rockers The Answer are returning to the road to promote their third album, Revival.

The four-piece combo will visit Birmingham's O2 Academy on October 19 in support of the new cd, which is out on October 3.

The Northern Irish band have been supporting the legends that are ACDC for two years on a tour around the world.

Singer Corman Neeson said: "We've got a lot of plans and we can't wait to get back on the road. We've got 17 brand new songs ready to go and we're loving it.

"Rehearsals are so exciting, piecing together different set lists with the old and the new material. When it properly kicks off, that'll be us on the road for the next two years."

The Answer recently played Sonisphere 2011 at Knebworth Park and Revival was produced by the Grammy-nominated Chris 'Frenchie' Smith.

The initial run of the album will be a limited edition deluxe format with 24-page booklet & band sleeve-notes, plus an 11-track second disc containing previously unreleased studio, acoustic, demo & cover material.
