A charity event is set to return to Ellesmere Comrades Club for a 10th year.

The music event will see 60s and country acts from around the UK perform on September 25 to raise money for Severn Hospice and Hope House.

Event organiser Norman Upton from Shrewsbury said: "We are thrilled with how popular the event has been since we first started holding it 10 years ago. Over the years we have managed to raise over £11,000 for local charities.

"All of the acts that will be performing have given their time free of charge which means we are able to raise as much money as possible for a number of charities."

He added tickets cost £6 per person and are available on the night and bar meals will also be on offer.

For details call Mr Upton on (01743) 366128.
