No kidding, it's feeding time at Hoo Farm

Visitors to a Shropshire zoo this weekend can help bottle feed baby goats for the first time this year.

Hoo Farm, in Preston-on-the-Weald Moors, has 16 baby goats who will be fed twice a day by the public.

Over the Easter weekend, the popular attraction will also host the sheep racing gold cup.

The event will be staged on Monday, when 10 sheep will tackle the Hoo Farm furlong in the quest for glory.

People can sponsor a sheep for £10 and the winner will take home a trophy.

On Sunday the Easter egg hunt also returns and children will be encouraged to search throughout the park for eggs.

Hoo Farm spokesman Will Dorrell said: "This is the first weekend we will be bottle feeding the baby goats.

"That will be done twice a day at about 11am and 4pm.

"It will be open to the public to do. We also have the sheep gold cup which will involve 10 runners.

"People can pay a £10 sponsorship fee to own a sheep for the day. If their sheep wins the race they will get a trophy."

The sheep racing takes place at 3.30pm on Monday.

Mr Dorrell added: "Over Easter, we also have our Easter egg hunt. Every child will get a prize.

"We will also have all our regular animal related activities."

Hoo Farm opened for its new season earlier this month, with more than 400 animals for visitors to the attraction to admire.

The opening was a milestone for the zoo, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary this year.
