Pupils tune up for Market Drayon music festival

Published

Plans are full steam ahead for a school's music festival, which will feature live performances from some of its own pupils.

The FutureFest event at Grove School in Market Drayton will take place for the second time this weekend.

Organisers branded the first event a huge success and hope to see even more pupils take part in this year's, which will be held on Saturday from 5pm to 10pm.

It will feature local talent, including current students, rising stars such as Heidi Browne and Cameron Forrest, and acts from further afield including Social Confusion and Leo Golden Child who proved to be a massive hit at last year.

Michelle Williams, business director for Grove School, said: "I am really looking forward to the event once again.

"Last year we were well supported by our local community, students and families.

"We aim to provide a family-friendly festival where people can relax in our beautiful grounds and listen to some great acts. We also have a fun fair, face painting, children's activities, and local business stalls.

"We have a licensed bar and a Pimms stall along with other refreshments to cater for everyone."

Tickets are available on the door but families are encouraged to take advantage of the advance family ticket available until Friday.

The advance family ticket which admits two adults and two children under 16 is £12 and available online or from the school reception.

Other tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for students, and free for children under three-years-old.
