The characters from Oswestry Musical Theatre Company were putting in some extra rehearsals before their weekend pantomime.

Last year the company won a regional award for best pantomime and it is hoping that this year will see more recognition.

The production of Cinderella will take to the stage at the Marches School, Oswestry, on Friday at 7.30pm, Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm and on Sunday at 2.30pm.

The main characters include Dani Box who plays Cinderella, Sarah Stantham playing Prince Charming and Becca Brown as Buttons.

Dani said: "It is a traditional pantomime and we want to give families a really good theatre experience that won't break the bank.

We will be selling glow wands and swords at value-for-money prices and there will also be ice creams and sweets on sale.

"We appreciate that Christmas can be expensive, especially for families, and we hope that our prices will be appreciated."

Tickets for the pantomime are available from Christians the Jewellers, Bailey Street or online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/OMTC
