The new Whitchurch Makers Market is due to launch on Saturday, running from 10am to 4pm, and will be held on the first Saturday of every month following.

The new market, supported by Whitchurch's Farmers' Market, will be located in High Street and the Bull Ring. Organisers say it will showcase award-winning local food, drink, arts and craft, along with music, cookery demonstrations and activities for children.

There will be ice creams from Polly's Parlour, cupcake flower bouquets from KLB Collection, warm chocolate samosas from Perfect Samosa and muffins from Joles Gourmet.

In addition there will be a wide range of other food and clothes stalls.

Lisa Baldwin, event manager The Makers Market, said: "The aim of our events is to ensure we create a monthly happening, that is enjoyable and a must in the diary, consequently bringing the community together, helping to create a sense of place and increased footfall for the local businesses.

"We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Whitchurch Town Council on the new monthly Whitchurch Makers Market which promises to be an event not to be missed."
