Benjamin Clementine announces Birmingham show
Poet, artist and musician Benjamin Clementine has announced that he will appear at Birmingham's Symphony Hall on December 1.
Born and raised in London, Clementine later moved to France and became a homeless teenager in Paris. There, his performances helped him to become a cult figure in the music and art scene.
Following his move back to London, he made his TV debut on the BBC programme Later With Jools Holland in 2013 which led to his debut album At Least For Now winning the 2015 Mercury Prize, being included in The Guardian's New Year's honours list to celebrate heroes of 2015 and Derbett's and the London Evening Standard naming his as one of the most influential people in Britain.
Benjamin Clementine has unveiled his first new music since being awarded 2015’s Mercury Music Prize entitled Phantom Of Aleppoville. The track was written, recorded and produced by Clementine and follows his recent collaboration with Gorillaz on Hallelujah Money.
