Crowds flock to Vron Show - in pictures

Hundreds flocked to a traditional show which has been running for more than 50 years.

The 51st Vron Gate Show, held in Vennington, near Shrewsbury has been hailed as a great success by organisers.

People could enjoy a dog show, stalls, races for children, exotic animals, and even a helicopter from RAF Shawbury was available to see.

In the ring there were displays by a Shetland Pony Troupe and a parade of vintage tractors and military vehicles.

And in the marquee there were 119 competitive classes in vegetables, flowers, cookery, handicrafts and children's classes.
