Shrewsbury Flower Show: Fun for all the family in free children's area
The Children’s Area this year is going to be packed full of fun, exciting and free activities for people of all ages!
“We have our favourite musical genius – Mr. Boom, joining us all the way from the Moon, will be bringing his unique and wonderful style of musical entertainment – will you be part of his band?,” said a spokesman.
Malcolm Malan will be amazing everyone with his magic show, and watch out for the Monster Gardening Show with Jack the Jester and friends.
For budding gardeners, decorate your own plant pot, and have some expert advice from David Hatfield when you plant your very own plants ready to take home.
Scaley, slimy, slithery, spikey, furry, feathery and fancy animals are all to be found in the Children’s Area – courtesy of Walford College and Chucks n Ducks. Come and say hello to them, and learn all about these fascinating creatures.
Feeling bouncy? Why not have a go in the Little Rascals Disco Dome, or scale the climbing wall from Wenlock Edge Activity Centre. Shrewsbury Town Football Club will have their giant inflatable penalty shoot-out, and will be running a football skills activity area.
Fancy learning a different skill? Why not have a go at some circus skills, or soap carving with the Shropshire Woodcarvers.
Get a free balloon from the balloon modeller, or get your face painted for free.
After all the excitement, why not have a quiet moment at the Bookfest stand. Bookfest will be running their popular book exchange – why not take a book to swap and discover a whole new world of adventure?
Remember, apart from the climbing wall, everything is completely free of charge for all.
