Violet Chachki, Kim Chi, Amanda Lepore and more: Klub Kids announce Twisted Circus coming to Birmingham

RuPaul's Drag Race stars Violet Chachki, Farrah Moan, Shea Coulee, Kim Chi, Milk and Chad Michaels will appear at the event as well as LGBTQ+ icon Amanda Lepore.

Violet Chachki won season seven of the hit reality show competing alongside the likes of Trixie Mattel, Katya, Pearl and Miss Fame. She is known for her career as a burlesque artist and it was announced this year by legendary burlesque star Dita Von Teese that she had been cast as part of her show The Art of the Teese in Chicago, Dallas and Houston.

Farrah Moan competed in season nine of the show and finished in eighth place. Her first major performance was as part of a contest entitled Austin's Next Drag Superstar where she was placed as a runner-up. Fellow Drag Race contestant Cynthia Lee Fontaine helped the performer get booked at local venues, and appeared on season nine also.

Fellow season nine contestant Shea Coulee made it to the top four alongside Trinity Taylor, Peppermint and Sasha Velour. She placed in fourth/third place and was known throughout the show for her innovative style choices.

Hit makeup artist Kim Chi competed in season eight of RuPaul's Drag Race and made it to the top three with Naomi Smalls and Bob the Drag Queen. The star is best known for her jaw-dropping makeup looks that have garnered her thousands of followers on social media.

Club kid Milk starred on season six of the show and was regularly criticised by other queens for her outlandish looks. Played by Daniel Donigan, in his younger years Donigan was a competitive figure skater.

Cher impersonator Chad Michaels was runner-up to Sharon Needles in season four of the show, and was the winner of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars season one. Michaels originally went by the drag name "Brigitte Love." Michaels chose to perform under his own name after working at "An Evening at La Cage" in Las Vegas, which required the drag queens to use male stage names. He has appeared on MADtv, Top Gear, Jane The Virgin and 2 Broke Girls impersonating Cher.

Amanda Lepore is an American transgender model, singer and performance artist who was a regular subject in photographer David LaChapelle's work.

Amanda, born Armand Lepore, established herself as a nightlife figure in the early 1990s. After meeting photographer David LaChapelle one evening while hosting at Bowery Bar, she gained international renown as his muse.

She has since appeared in fashion magazines French Playboy, Ponytail, DAMn and Tush as well as having cameo roles in music videos for the likes of Elton John, Thalia, The Dandy Warhols and more.

Klub Kids' The Twisted Circus Tour will appear in Birmingham on March 30, 2018. A venue has not yet been announced for the show.

Tickets for the event go on sale at 10.00am on Friday, August 18.
