Alexander O'Neal coming to Birmingham

Iconic R'n'B star Alexander O'Neal is heading to Birmingham.

2017 marks the anniversary of ONeal's hit album Hearsay, that spent over 2 years in the UK album charts and selling over 700,000 copies.

It was certified triple platinum by the B.P.I. and launched seven charting singles, Fake, Criticize, Never Knew Love Like This, The Lovers, (What Can I Say) To Make You Love Me and Sunshine, there are simply no fillers on Hearsay.

Hearsay commenced O'Neal's special relationship with the UK, where he sold out 6 straight nights at Wembley arena.

O'Neal released his debut album, the eponymous Alexander O'Neal in 1985. Since then, he has released eight studio albums, six compilation albums and one live album.

In 1981 O'Neal was signed by Prince to the Warner Bros. label with his band Flyte Tyme, who were renamed to The Time.

In 1987 O'Neal released the album titled Hearsay, and then went on to release a further seven albums.

Alexander O'Neal will appear at Birmingham's Town Hall on April 20, 2018.
