The 11th Whixall Tractor Run will be held on Sunday with vehicles of every shape, size, and age expected to gather at Charity Farm, at Whixall, near Whitchurch.

Proceeds from the event will go to the baby and toddler group in Whixall.

It has been organised by John Yates, a farmer from Whixall.

His partner Jill Jarratt said that the event usually attracted between 40 and 50 tractors.

She added: “Tractors are invited to arrive at the farm from 10am.

“We will set off at 11am. The route will be a bit shorter this year. It will be about 20 miles taking about two and a half hours.

“We always get a good turnout and it is a great day out. Everyone who takes part always says what great fun it is.

"We try and avoid the main roads and will be going over farm land and across the moss.

“We are hoping to finish at about 2pm at Dog and Bull in Coton for some food free of charge - they have been very kind in donating the food.

“We also have lots of spectators who are of course invited along as well. It is quite a sight to see about 40 to 50 tractors following each other."

Jill said the tractor run will consist of a 20 mile route around Whixall including parts crossing Whixall Moss and through Bronington.
