Welshpool steps back into wartime with 40s event
A whole town stepped back into wartime for an annual event.

The third annual 1940s weekend in Welshpool took place this weekend.
The event brings together displays and activities relating back to the 1940s, and has proved a hit with the locals and people from Montgomeryshire in recent years.
Displays of the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway took place at Raven Square and Llanfair station, and there was a tea dance in the church house, bands playing at various locations, and stalls all weekend.
A Spitfire displayalso took place near the town hall on Sunday, along with a 'Kings Speech,' a blitz ball, a variety show, concert and more.
