Reef, The Wildhearts and Terrorvision to play at Birmingham's Digbeth Arena

Their tour, which features a rotating line-up, will visit the UK’s biggest cities.

“It’s going to be great to find out what was going on in the 90s and what it sounded like.” says Terrorvision’s Tony Wright. “I’ve seen the pics and so I know we were there – but to experience it first-hand will be ace.”

“I’m really amped to be hitting the road this May and joining up with the guys from Terrorvision and The Wildhearts,” adds Reef’s Gary Stringer. “It’s gonna be a blast. See you there, happy days.”

“We are honoured to be a part of this legendary tour,” says Ginger Wildheart. “Mainly because it means that we’re still alive, but also because it gives us a chance to prove that we were always the best band of this whole bunch.”

The three bands presented an alternative to Britpop for fans of heavier music. Their riffy songs were the antidote to the lighter, poppier tunes of Blur and Oasis.

Tony Wright is thrilled that the bands are all still going. “The tour will be fun. I don’t think our paths crossed that often, actually, tell you the truth. We were always out doing different places, different nights, so apart from the Kerrang awards we didn’t see much of each other.

“I think this tour was mentioned a couple of years ago but it fell by the wayside. Now it’s back on the agenda and we’re all up for it. I wouldn’t go on tour with them if I didn’t think they were doing something decent.

“You know, it would be good to get Therapy and Skunk Anansie out too, there were some good bands from that era.”

Terrorvision formed near Bradford in 1987 and initially disbanded in 2001 before reforming five years later.

“I’m from Bradford so to get the chance to do any of that stuff was amazing. It was all amazing.”
