Late additions to the line-up include Hayley Atwell (Saturday only) who plays TV's Agent Carter and seventh Doctor Who Sylvester McCoy, who also played the wizard Radagast in The Hobbit movies.
Enthusiasts for sci-fi and fantasy will be able to browse stalls, play the latest video games and take part in cosplay tournaments when they dress up as their favourite superheroes or villains.
Power Ranger Amy Jo Johnson will be the centre of much 1990s nostalgia and Warwick Davies is always a popular draw for his good humour and anecdotes.

Fans will also be eager to pose alongside Irish stage and screen actor Andrew Scott, best known for playing Moriarty opposite Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock Holmes, and Hollywood star Billy Zane who played the Phantom and whose other credits range from Back To The Future and Twin Peaks to Mad Dogs and Legends of Tomorrow.
Those who have had to pull out include Hollywood actor and former Batman Val Kilmer, and Sean Astin, from Stranger Things and Lord of the Rings. Several actors from The Walking Dead have had to decline due to filming commitments in America. However, American Horror Story star Alexandra Breckenridge is still scheduled to represent the hit zombie drama, in which she played hero Rick Grimes' ill-fated girlfriend Jessie.
There will also be wrestling stars, actors who voice popular video games and former champion boxer Frank Bruno MBE in what is set to be a bumper comic con to celebrate the Welsh event's milestone year.
