The Steam on the Road event will take place at the Railway on Saturday, August 10, and Sunday, August 11.

This year's event steam rally will see a parade of vehicles take to the roads of Kidderminster on both days, ending with a climb up the hill to the train station. At the station there will be an array of full-size steam engines and miniature traction engines on display and in operation, alongside the station's Coalyard Miniature Railway.

Live entertainment carries on at the station into the evening on the Saturday, with local musicians Redwood-UK and Max Stockin. Admission is free.

Included in the variety of steam vehicles on display will be Wallis & Steevens Steamroller 8064, Tasker B2 Tractor 1952, Fowler Steamroller Survivor, Wallis & Steevens Traction engine Pedler, Burrell Road Loco Dorothy, Foster Showmans engine Admiral Beatty and Foden Traction engine.

Severn Valley Railway events co-ordinator, Lewis Maddox, said: "Our popular summer steam rally is bigger than ever this year, with not only a wide variety of steam-powered vehicles to admire in action and on display but also our beer and real ale festival and, free, live music on Saturday to get people dancing into the evening.”
