The six adorable animals were born at Play@ Lower Drayton Farm near Penkridge between January 31 and February 7.

Their names include Jan, Fred, Nancy, Wallace and Shaun, which was chosen by customers after 'Shaun The Sheep'.

The lambs were born just in time for the attraction's 'Lambs and Ewe' event, which launches on February 15 and runs every day of the upcoming school half-term through to the Easter break.

Entry to the event is included with the standard entry ticket and gives visitors the chance to see inside the lambing barn, learn about sheep, test their knowledge with a quiz trail and help the farmers find their 'lost flock'.

The lambing barn at the attraction will get even busier in the upcoming months, with around 80 more new arrivals expected.

Farmer Richard Bower, who runs the family attraction which is located one mile off Junction 13 of the M6, said: “Lambs and Ewe is one of our favourite events here on the farm – it’s great to see new life on the farm and we love helping visitors learn all about sheep and how we care for them.

"It’s lovely seeing the kids' and adult faces light up when they see the lambs – they are very entertaining and, while we can’t promise a live birth will happen in front of visitors every day, there’s always a chance you’ll see the miracle first-hand.

“It’s not just lambs that visitors will see – our cows have been calving so there are lots of new calves in the large animal zone and we will have some chicks that visitors can meet too.

"We’ll also be giving a preview glimpse of progress on some exciting projects as we prepare to launch new areas in time for Easter. We love taking our customers on the whole journey with us and couldn’t do it without their support.”

Parents with little ones can get a sneak peek of the Lambs and Ewe event on a special 'Toddler Day' on Friday (February 14), while families who prefer things a little quieter can book a spot on dedicated quiet sessions, which will run at 9am on February 16 and February 23.
