Alfa Romeos and Ferarris on parade in Bridgnorth in celebration of Italian engineering
A collection of Italian cars gathered in a town's high street, in preparation for an upcoming motor festival.
The Mayor of Bridgnorth, Ron Whittle, welcomed a convoy of Alfa Romeos into the town last week, as part of the run up to Bridgnorth's Italian Auto Moto Festival.
Ferrari owners from the West Midlands branch also made an appearance on the day, creating a spectacular display of Italian automotive engineering.
The next time the group of enthusiasts will meet, will be at the festival which is to be held on September 2.
This year the festival will celebrate its third consecutive year.
On the day some of of the world's most beautiful Italian cars will be displayed on the high street for everyone to see.
Organiser, David Morris, said this year will also mark the 71th anniversary of the formation of the Ferrari company.
He added: ‘’ The first two years of the Bridgnorth meeting have been much more successful than even we had been hoping for.
"Having the full and active support of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club this year, will now see some really classic Alfas joining us on the day, one of them being a National Concours winner.
"The usual ‘crowd pleasing’ Ferraris and Lamborghinis, will also be joined by Ducati and Moto Guzzi motorcycles, with, hopefully, some of the local scooter clubs riding in, on their immaculate Vespas and Lambrettas.’’
The main streets in Bridgnorth are due to be closed on the day. Those who wish to display an Italian vehicle themselves can contact the Italian Auto Moto Club prior to the event.
Entrance to the event is entirely free of charge to visiting members of the public, and is being held alongside the annual Continental Market.
