Fans beam up to Destination Star Trek in Birmingham - in pictures
William Shatner, Armin Shimerman, Linda Park and more were in Birmingham this weekend for Destination Star Trek.

Rumours were rife at the event of a potential Star Trek: The Next Generation reunion on Sir Patrick Stewart’s new spin-off series as cast members discussed the veteran actors’ return to the Star Trek fold during a live panel.
Michael Dorn, who played Klingon officer Wolf through seven seasons of The Next Generation, offered a ray of hope to fans dreaming of a reunion as he admitted, “I would definitely do again, but it would have to be the right situation.”
Spirits were high Trek alumni, including Walter Koenig, Nana Visitor, Jason Isaacs, Anthony Rapp and Fred Haise, took to the stage, with Chase Masterson even orchestrating an on-stage selfie
Destination Star Trek is the only official Star Trek event in Europe, bringing together stars from across the seasons for unique photo opportunities and panel discussions.
This year marks the 25th Anniversary of Deep Space Nine, and the event celebrated this with actors in costume and makeup, dedicated talks, and more.
Fans of the series were able to sit on the Classic Bridge, and look at a variety of genuine props and costumes from the show, including an original phaser from the 1960s filming.
