A man has written to the National Trust for help tracking down the last picture of his late wife.

Alan Wright, from Kent, visited Sissinghurst Castle in September 2015 with his wife. Evidently while sitting quietly in the gardens, the couple were looking particularly photogenic, as a passing visitor asked to take their picture.

Sadly, Wright’s wife passed away only three months later.

Now, Wright is trying to find the man who took the photo, which he says was the last remaining photo of her. He wrote to the National Trust, who published his story in its magazine and tweeted it out to its 700,000 followers.

The plea has had more than 1,000 retweets, so here’s hoping the photographer is found. If you think you may have information, contact magazine@nationaltrust.org.uk.
