Double BRIT award winner Ms Dynamite has been announced as the latest name on the bill for this year's Shrewsbury Fields Forever festival.

The R&B and hip hop singer will join indie stars The Wombats on the Saturday night of the three-day event, which will be taking place between September 14 and 16 at the County Showground in Berwick Road.

The festival, which was headlined by The Charlatans and Zane Lowe last year, is undergoing a change in format for 2012. The Friday night will be dedicated to DJs and dance acts, there will be bands on the Saturday while the Sunday will be focused on acoustic music and comedy.

Dene Edwards, organiser of the festival which is set to attract more than 10,000 people, said: "We are ecstatic to be adding Ms Dynamite to the bill.

"Her name and style crosses the generations to provide something for everyone. She has a lot more hits to her name than many people realise. "
