Jessie J fans are set for a soaking tomorrow as Met Office chiefs predict heavy downpours ahead of the pop star's outdoor concert in Shropshire.

The singer and judge on BBC talent show The Voice will perform to a sell-out crowd of 11,000 in The Quarry in Shrewsbury – the biggest gig ever staged in the town park.

It comes as weather experts warned that more than a month's rain is expected to fall in just two days in parts of the UK, including Shropshire.

A severe weather warning has been issued, with fears of flooding and travel disruption tomorrow and Saturday. Up to 100mm (3.9ins) of rain could fall in 36 hours.
