The youthful quartet, with an average age of 15, release their debut single today, Cave of Swimmers.

An exclusive video was shot on Tuesday as part of their prize for Next Big Thing by competition sponsor Furrows, of Telford.

Lead singer Ollie Scott, 16, of Newport, said the band had recorded a number of new tracks since winning Shropshire's Next Big Thing this summer.

He said: "We didn't want to rest on our laurels, we wanted to push forward and improve.

"We wrote a number of new songs and recorded them with Gavin Monaghan, who produced The Editors, Ocean Colour Scene and Robert Plant. We really enjoyed working with him. He told us we reminded him of The Editors."

The band will play live at The Dukebox, in Oakengates, on November 3 and at The Buttermarket, in Shrewsbury, on November 9.
