Phones jammed as fans clamour to see X Factor stars in Shrewsbury
X Factor fans jammed phone lines today to snap up tickets for a show in Shrewsbury starring two former contestants.
Nearly 500 early bird tickets for the gig featuring boyband District 3 and pop duo MK were bought in less than a hour this morning.
The groups, who appeared during the ITV talent contest last year, will perform at the Buttermarket nightclub in Howard Street on January 19.
The early bird tickets went on sale at 7.30am today and by 8.30am they had all been sold.
The pop groups are the latest in a growing number of X Factor contestants to appear in Shropshire.
They follow the likes of show winner James Arthur, runner-up Jahmene Douglas, boyband Union J, Rylan Clark and Ella Henderson, who performed on Saturday.
Further tickets for the town gig have now been released.
