The Hilton Music Festival, which will be held at Grange Farm, Hilton, near Bridgnorth, on August 10 and 11, has already attracted a number of high profile bands.

The Manfreds, including front man Paul Jones, Mike Hugg on keyboards and Tom McGuinness on lead guitar – all at one time part of chart-toppers Manfred Mann – will perform a few surprise renditions as well as numbers from their solo careers, according to music promoter Dave Coleman, from Bridgnorth.

He said: "Also on the bill are upcoming acts such as the UK's latest, blues soul star songstress in the making, Jo Harman.

"Jo is making huge waves on the music scene as are The Wholls, an explosive four-piece band from Bedford who are quickly making their presence felt across the entire UK.

"Their music is an exciting cocktail of guitar-based rock and sounds from the urban underground.

"It is undeniably a sound to define the youth of this generation."

Further acts include Nikki Murray, who was hailed as Guitarist Magazine's Acoustic Guitar Player of the Year and has received endorsements from MTV and VH1 in their Unsigned Acts.

Performances will be heard on the Sunday by Blackheart, singer-songwriter Jennifer Crook, and acoustic trio Davis, Lindley and Mullan (DLM), who will be joined by Leon Hunt, the five-string banjo player.

The event will be closed with an acoustic set by Nikki Murray.

Camping will be available on site from August 9 and tickets can be bought for a day or whole weekend, starting at £20.

Places are limited. To book visit www.hiltonmusicfestival.co.uk or call the festival ticket hotline on 07583 484127.
