Reduced price tickets, offering discounts of up to 58 per cent, are still up for grabs on offers website Groupon.

This September's festival will be headlined by Maximo Park and Athlete.

A total of 2,976 tickets have now been sold through the website.

Saturday tickets are on sale from £16, a 54 per cent discount, while Sunday tickets are half-price at £14. Weekend tickets have been cut to £29, a 58 per cent reduction.

The three-day music, comedy and arts festival will take place at the West Mid Showground, off Berwick Road, from September 13 to 15.

Shaun of the Dead and Black Books star Dylan Moran has been booked to headline the event's Sunday comedy festival.

Other acts booked for the event include Starsailor frontman James Walsh and drum and bass DJ Roni Size.

Festival director Dene Edwards said last month that ticket sales even before the full line-up was announced had been "unprecedented".

He said: "People are starting to return year on year but new faces will help us create what will be our best festival yet."

Last year's event managed to attract about 7,000 revellers – with numbers well up on the attendance of about 4,000 for 2011, when the event made its debut.

The 2012 event was headlined by The Wombats and Ms Dynamite, while the comedy tent was headlined by Andrew Maxwell and Mark Watson.

This year, gates open for campers at noon on the Friday. Gates open for day ticket holders at noon on the Saturday and 11am on the Sunday. For festival details, visit www.shrewsburyfieldsforever.com
