Sir Simon Rattle and London Symphony Orchestra coming to Birmingham

Internationally-acclaimed conductor Sir Simon Rattle is set to bring a show to Birmingham next year.

The Liverpool-born star, aged 62, was the Musical Director of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra from 1980 to 1998.

It was announced in March 2015 that Rattle would become Music Director of the London Symphony Orchestra from September 2017.

He will be coming to the Symphony Hall with The London Symphony Orchestra in the spring to perform Mahler's Ninth Symphony.

The show will take place on Tuesday, May 1.
