Peace to play Birmingham's Sunflower Lounge
Indie outfit Peace will play an intimate show at Birmingham's Sunflower Lounge on Monday.
The Midland quartet has partnered with Jack Daniel's and the Music Venue Trust for the gig, which supports live gigs across the UK.
Continuing the brand’s ongoing support for independent artists, 100 per cent of the ticket sales have gone to the charity, created to protect the live music network by securing the long-term future of iconic grassroots venues.
Mark Davyd, chief executive of the Music Venue Trust, said that the group are excited to return to the area and to support the cause.
"We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with Jack Daniel’s with this fantastic homecoming show, which is vital part of the nationwide fightback by grassroots music venues, artists and audiences," he said.
"Working together we can stop closures, secure a long-term future for venues, and start to improve Britain’s grassroots circuit.”
The Birmingham city centre show will be a rare opportunity to see Peace playing to 100 people in the city that helped propel their career.
Peace is also set to release its third studio album, Kindness Is The New Rock And Roll, next month.
Tickets for the show are sold out.
