The outdoor concert, attended by thousands of people, was held at The Lakeside at The NEC.

First up on the show's bill were Bolton punk idols Buzzcocks, followed by Coventry ska act The Selecter.

Punk rockers Stiff Little Fingers played next, with the final act of the night being Brummie reggae, ska and punk band The Beat.

The event was organised by Slam Dunk, whose annual one-day Birmingham event takes place at the same location today. Groups set to play this include Good Charlotte, Twin Atlantic, Lower Than Atlantis, Reel Big Fish and Jimmy Eat World.
