Following their highly-acclaimed performance at last year’s Stone Free Festival, which saw the group play their eponymous debut in full, Blue Öyster Cult will play eight dates, including one at the O2 Institute in February.

They will be supported by The Temperance Movement during this tour.

The quintet formed in 1967, and are best known for hit songs such as Godzilla, Burnin' For You, Shooting Shark and (Don't Fear) The Reaper.

Blue Öyster Cult has sold over 24 million records worldwide, including 7 million records in the United States alone.

They have influenced a number of acts such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Alice in Chains, Twisted Sister, Queens of the Stone Age and more.

The group will play Birmingham's O2 Institute on February 27.

Tickets go on sale at 10am this Friday.
