Dropkick Murphys to play Birmingham
Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphy's will play Birmingham later this year.
Formed in 1996, the sextet have released nine full-length studio albums with the latest, 11 Short Stories of Pain and Glory, being released last year.
The band were first propelled into the mainstream when their 2004 single Tessie became the band's first hit and one of their biggest charting singles to date.
Single I'm Shipping Up to Boston was featured in the 2006 Academy Award-winning movie The Departed, and went on to become the band's only Platinum-selling single to date, and remains one of their best-known songs.
Dropkick Murphys will play Birmingham's O2 Academy on April 21, 2019.
Tickets for the show will go on sale this Friday at 10am.
