Andrea Di Giovanni will perform at this year's Birmingham Pride

The singer - a previous finalist in the Pride's Got Talent competition - and LGBTQ+ activist will be performing new single Bang following its release last month, and his other material.

Andrea's previous singles have been championed by The Line of Best Fit, Clash Music, Spotify Fresh Finds playlists and a number of online taste-makers, and Andrea has appeared in a range of publications talking about a range of issues.

He describes his music as finding its roots in "the struggle for equality", combining "memorable melodies with empowering messages of self-acceptance".

Bang is described as a track to "celebrate freedom of self-expression for all". It features "strong synth backing with powerhouse vocals on the topic of self-liberation", and Andrea believes we should “let go of everything that holds us back, so we can thrive and do what we love”, while hearing it.

Birmingham Pride 2019 runs on the weekend of May 25 and 26 in Birmingham's Gay Village. Tickets for the event can be bought from their website.
