It may well be summer, but the weather has had other plans the last few weeks with plenty of rain and thunderstorms - not ideal for the flower show.

However, it's good news and looks like the weather will be perking up over the next few days.

The Met Office has predicted a cloudy day on Friday, with some rain forecast for a short period at lunchtime.

Saturday looks the better of the two days when the forecast is for mostly cloudy day with sunny intervals.

Temperature wise it doesn't look like getting any hotter than 18C, so you can probably leave the shorts in the wardrobe, but bring a brolley just in case.

For those of you who like to check various forecasts until you find the one you like, the picture is pretty much the same on Accuweather too, so fingers crossed for a decent weekend.
