Ludlow Fringe Festival will be a feast for all

Mock The Week regular James Acaster wil be among the acts travelling to the south Shropshire town.

There are more than 70 events organised, including dance, walks, workshops and events for children.

This year's two-week festival, which gets underway on June 16, kicks off with a five night run of The Merry Wives of Windsor, which is being staged at the Brewery by the Two Score Theatre Company.

Then Ludlow Castle will provide the dramatic backdrop for Here to There Productions' of As You Like It.

There is other great theatre taking place around the town. Forget Me Not – The Alzheimer's Whodunnit will be staged at the Methodist Church, The Life and Times of a Tat Man will be performed at The Charlton Arms and two of Alan Bennett's Talking Heads monologues from The Regal Players at The Sitting Room.

And if it is laughs you are looking for, then in the first week, Trev Tokabi, Robyn Perkins and The Scottish falsetto Sock Puppets along with witty word-player Tony Cowards will be on stage in The Sitting Room.

James Acaster will preview his latest show at The Charlton Arms and The Kagools will return to the Brewery.

In the second week, there will be three nights of Comedy at the Brewery. Fellow Mock the Week star Gary Delaney along with Larry Dean, a regular on Live at the Apollo will appears on Tuesday evening. TV favourite Jo Caulfield will preview her new show Killing Time on Wednesday and on Thursday Stephen Carline will be supported by YouTube sensation Mawaan Rizwan.

For music there is The Simon King Organ Trio, English tenor Thomas Cameron, The Kamao Quartet and the Ladies of Jazz. on Wednesday there is the Flamenco performance of Art of Believing and Daniel Martinez promises an exciting show.

The following evening, alongside complimentary Tapas from Parkway Tasca Bar, there will be an al fresco performance.

But to round off the festival in style don't miss out on the Finale night on July 1 at Ludlow Brewery. Counterfeit Abba will be making sure there are some Dancing Queens as they take to the stage with their sell out who which they have been performing since 2000.
